Everyone who works for Africa’s Gift is a volunteer, including its trustees, so donations fund the work in Lesotho, South Africa and Uganda.
Teaching farms, community demonstrations and volunteer exchanges allow knowledge to be shared in both directions.

Volunteers have worked alongside the people of Malealea in the fields planting trees, in their communities and schools demonstrating new ways of cooking with an Eco Cook Bag, or simply playing with the children.
Visits have been guided by Ken Dunn MBE, the charity’s founder, who believes some charity work promotes a culture of dependency. Africa’s Gift is named to dispel the notion that Africa is just a place that receives.
